Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy

This notice describes how personal data is processed for visitors of iu8qtm.eu ("the Site"), Emilio Migliorino's personal blog and channel dedicated to amateur radio, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Italian law.

1. What data we collect

The Site is static and does not require registration. We collect personal data only in these cases:

• Direct contact: if you write via email or a contact form, we process your email address and any information you choose to share, solely to reply to you.
• Technical browsing data: like any website, the hosting server automatically logs IP address, browser, and pages visited, for security and technical operation purposes.
• Cookies and third-party content: see the dedicated section below.

2. Legal basis and purposes

We process data based on our legitimate interest in managing and securing the Site, on pre-contractual/contractual steps when we reply to your requests, and on consent for non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Cookies used

On your first visit we ask for consent through the cookie banner. The categories used are:

4. Third-party services

The Site uses Google Fonts for typography: your browser downloads fonts directly from Google's servers, which may receive your IP address. No tracking cookies are set by this service. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Links and any embedded videos from YouTube (Google LLC) and links to Instagram (Meta Platforms, Inc.) point to third-party platforms subject to their own privacy notices: Google and Meta/Instagram.

5. Data retention

Data collected via direct contact is kept for as long as needed to handle the request, and no longer than 24 months, unless otherwise required by law. Cookie preferences are stored in your browser for 6 months.

6. Your rights

Under Articles 15-22 GDPR, you have the right to access your data, request rectification or erasure, restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. To exercise these rights, write to iu8qtm@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or your local supervisory authority.
